3D Starstrike was released in late 1984 for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum 48K by Realtime Games Software Limited. In 1985 they ported it to the Amstrad CPC.

Released in late 1984 for the Sinclair ZX Spectrum, 3D Starstrike was generally well recieved by the magazines of the day. Crash honoured the game with a score of 93% and a Crash Smash.  Sinclair User awarded it 7 out 10, Your Spectrum 9 1/2 out of 15, and the grand daddy and slightly more serious magazine Your Computer gave it three stars out of five.
